A Sr. Associate - Desktop Publishing (DTP) is a skilled professional responsible for creating visually appealing and informative publications using design software and layout techniques. They work closely with editors, writers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the final product meets all requirements and adheres to brand guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Design and format various publications, including brochures, newsletters, magazines, reports, marketing materials, and more.
• Select and apply appropriate fonts, colors, images, and graphics to enhance visual appeal and brand consistency.
• Ensure accurate layout and alignment of text, images, and other elements.
• Proofread and edit content for typos, grammatical errors, and formatting inconsistencies.
• Follow brand style guides and industry best practices.
• Work with editors and writers to understand their vision and translate it into a visually appealing design.
• Contribute to the development of new design templates and styles.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and software applications.
• May manage and train junior DTP staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communication, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in DTP or a related role.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with content management systems (CMS) is a plus.
• Knowledge of prepress and printing processes is helpful.
• Familiarity with web design principles is beneficial.
